I am writing this letter to tell you how wonderful a crew we had here for our Father and Grandfather, JB McDaniel. As the primary caregiver for almost 2 years, I was to the point of giving in and putting JB in a nursing home.
I have plates and screws in my back and to say it was hard to take care of JB is an understatement. I did it because I wanted my kids and my wife, Suzanne to have JB close by so they could see him every day, but mostly because it was what JB wanted. He didn't want to be admitted into a nursing home. When the suggestion to have hospice begin for him, we were a little reluctant. We simply were not sure what to expect and the whole thing had us worried. To tell the truth, I thought he would be made to go to a nursing home. That fear was quickly laid to rest. When we met the first nurse to come over, and I am so sorry, I don't remember her name, she was really nice and JB liked her a lot. As a direct result of that visit, we decided to try it.
